Our Story
For more than two decades, FB Fashion Ball has brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives and professionals in spectacular gala events that celebrate talent, diversity and impact. As the events platform grew – across Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham and beyond – so did our desire to create a dedicated charitable vehicle that could steward the generosity of guests, sponsors and partners with clarity and accountability. Fashion Impact Foundation was created to be exactly that: a regulated, independent charity with its own board of trustees, working alongside FB Fashion Ball and other partners to ensure that funds raised are distributed fairly, transparently and in line with clear charitable objects.

Meet our philanthropist founder and chair of trustees, Lisa Darwin
Lisa Darwin is the Founder of Fashion Impact Foundation and a recognised leader in purpose-led fashion and events. For over 20 years, Lisa has organised and grown FB Fashion Ball into a high-profile platform that brings together a diverse and inclusive community to champion charitable causes. What began as an ambitious event concept has evolved into a powerful vehicle for fundraising, awareness and connection, supporting multiple charities across the UK with a strong focus across the North of England whilst celebrating the people, brands and businesses shaping the industry.
With more than two decades of success, Lisa leads multiple thriving ventures across fashion, lifestyle and coaching. Her dedication, drive and creativity have built an impressive portfolio and an extensive network of elite contacts. Known for long-standing relationships spanning numerous industries, Lisa's passion for connection and growth is evident in every experience she creates. Often described as having a "little glitzy black book" of connections, Lisa is respected for her influence, credibility and ability to unite people around a shared purpose.
In 2024, Lisa received the Mandy Taylor MBE Charity Award at the Yorkshire Businesswoman Awards, recognising her meaningful impact across Yorkshire's business community through committed charity involvement, generous giving of time and consistent fundraising.
Fashion Impact Foundation was born from Lisa's deep belief that fashion can be a force for good and from her ongoing commitment to support through coaching women of all ages and backgrounds as they transform their lives and businesses. Through the Foundation, Lisa continues to build impactful opportunities that elevate confidence, community and contribution.
