The Workplace Role Model Pathway is a distinctive personal and professional development experience that uses fashion and live creative production as a platform to build confidence, raise profiles and create meaningful connections.

Role Models represent their workplace, profession or community while progressing through a supported journey of photography, styling, confidence development, rehearsals, fundraising and live creative participation.

No modelling experience is required. The Pathway is designed for people willing to step beyond the familiar, out of their comfort zone to support others and embrace an unforgettable new experience.

More Than a Moment on the Catwalk

The catwalk is an exciting setting and may provide the stage, but confidence, true identity, connection and personal growth are the true purpose of the pathway.

Throughout the experience, Role Models can develop:

• Confidence and personal presence

• Communication and presentation skills

• Teamwork and collaboration

• Valuable professional and community relationships

• Greater awareness of charitable causes

• Experience of contributing to a live creative production

You do not need to be a professional model, work in fashion or have previous catwalk experience.

We are looking for people with character, commitment and individuality who are ready to step forward, participate positively and discover what they are capable of.

Throughout their supported journey, Role Models may take part in photography, styling, mentoring, confidence development, networking and rehearsals. They then bring everything together by applying their learning within a professionally produced fashion led creative experience.

The pathway is designed to leave Role Models with greater confidence, meaningful new relationships, memorable experiences and a stronger belief in what they are capable of achieving.

"When I walked the catwalk for Fashion Ball in 2023 and 2024, I did so in support of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, a charity that holds a very special place in my heart. I was born with a hole in the heart and spent much of my childhood in and out of hospital undergoing surgery. After my dad died, I found letters my parents had exchanged with other families they had met on the cardiac wards, offering each other support through some very difficult times. Those letters reminded me how important compassion, community and practical support can be for families facing childhood heart surgery. Fashion Ball gave me the chance to give something back, while also challenging myself in a completely new way.
